Verify your TikTok account with a bio code

TL;DR

Creators can now verify a TikTok account by pasting a six-character code in their bio. Brands see the accounts named on each application, can change the clip cap mid-campaign, and get real numbers in Live videos again.

Anyone could paste anyone's TikTok link into an application, and nothing proved the account was yours. The people who actually run the account had no way to say so.

2.30 and 2.31 close that. Creators first, brands below.

For creators

Verify a TikTok account in under a minute

  1. Add the account from your profile, onboarding, or a campaign application.
  2. Paste the six-character code we give you anywhere in your bio.
  3. Press Check, and delete the code once the account shows as verified.

TikTok checks run today. Add your Instagram and YouTube accounts now, and verify them when we turn those on.

Someone else added your account?

The add form offers Prove it's yours. Verify with your code and the account moves to you, unless the current holder already verified it.

If the profile is private, missing or suspended, the check says which one and offers a fresh code.

Pick your accounts when you apply

The application form lists your saved accounts for the platforms the campaign runs on, with verified ones preselected. You can add and verify one without leaving the form.

A stuck verification now has a thread

If your verification doesn't go through, our team can message you about it. The thread appears in the chat bubble you already use, you reply there, and no brand team can see it.

YouTube Shorts campaigns take applications again

Every YouTube link on a Shorts-only campaign came back as an invalid domain, so the submit button stayed dead. Fixed, and explore cards and the home carousel show the platforms the brand actually picked.

Smaller things

  • The withdrawal page lists unverified accounts with a Verify button. It's a prompt, and you can still withdraw.
  • If you left an application form open through the deploy, reload it before you send.

For brands

See the accounts behind an application

The creator panel lists the accounts on each application as links, verified first, with Show more accounts past the first three. Applications sent before this release still show every account the creator has.

Change the clip cap mid-campaign

Max clips per creator sits in the settings menu on your campaign page. Empty means no limit, and lowering it only blocks new submissions: clips you already approved stay approved.

Live videos shows real numbers

Some of you saw "last updated 56 years ago", every row at 0 views and an effective CPM of 0. Each row now uses the freshest view count we have for that video, and the link to the clip is visible and clickable.

Smaller things

  • Campaign type labels and the explore type filter match what you chose in the wizard.
  • New brand category: Production company / Movie.
  • New rejection reason: Video deleted.
  • Our team can change a campaign's posting deadline. Clocks already running keep their date.

What's next

  • Verification for Instagram and YouTube accounts.
  • The rule that only verified accounts count toward earnings. It's off today and changes nothing; we'll post before it turns on.
  • A few brand screens still show accounts a creator didn't put on an application. We're closing that.

FAQ

Can two creators verify the same TikTok account?

No. A platform account belongs to one Clip2Earn creator, and a holder who already verified it keeps it.

My profile is private. Can I verify?

Make it public while we read the bio, then switch it back. If we can't read the profile, the check tells you so.

Do I need to re-apply to campaigns I already applied to?

No. Existing applications stand, and you only pick accounts again if you edit the application yourself.

Why do older applications show every account a creator has?

They were stored as plain links before this release, so we can't tell which ones the creator meant. New applications name the accounts.

Add your TikTok account, paste the code, press Check.
